The Engineering and Computing Lab (EMCL) is located in the Mathematikon at the Campus Neuenheimer Feld. Take the main entrance at the Klaus-Tschira-Platz and find us on the 1st floor.

By airplane:

The nearest international airports are Frankfurt (FRA) and Stuttgart (STR). From both airports, train connections by Deutsche Bahn (German Railways) to Heidelberg Main Station are available. Please find a suitable connection on the website of Deutsche Bahn.

If your flight goes to Frankfurt airport, choose "Frankfurt (Main) Flugh" as starting point of the train. Frankfurt airport has its own station with ICE (Inter City Express) service.

If your flight goes to Stuttgart airport, choose "Stuttgart Flughafen/Messe" as starting point of the train. Stuttgart airport is connected with local transportation to Stuttgart Main Station, where you can reach ICE service.

In any case, choose "Heidelberg Hbf" as the destination of the train. Usually, ICE service is available to Mannheim Main Station, where you can connect with regional transportation to Heidelberg Main Station. From there, you get to the Campus Neuenheimer Feld by public transportation (approx. 10 minutes). You can take the tram lines 21 and 24 in direction "Handschuhsheim" and get off at the station "Bunsengymnasium". EMCL is located in the Mathematikon (building nr. 205); which is opposite to the tram station.

By train:

Deutsche Bahn (German Railways) offers train connections to Heidelberg Main Station from all over Germany. The fastest way of travelling usually is by ICE (Inter City Express), which is available in many major cities. The nearest station with ICE service is Mannheim Main Station, where you can connect with regional transportation to Heidelberg Main Station. You can find your train connection on the website of Deutsche Bahn. Choose "Heidelberg Hbf" as the destination of the train.

From Heidelberg Main Station you get to the Campus Neuenheimer Feld by public transportation (approx. 10 minutes). You can take the tram lines 21 and 24 in direction "Handschuhsheim" and get off at the station "Bunsengymnasium". EMCL is located in the Mathematikon (building nr. 205); which is opposite to the tram station.

By local transportation:

There nearest stop of trams and buses is "Bunsengymnasium". It offers service of the tram lines 21and 24 and bus line 31. Check the connections from your starting point on the website of RNV (local transportation service).

By car:

At the end of Autobahn A565 turn left in direction of Heidelberg Neuenheimer Feld / Chirugie (surgery). Then you cross the Neckar on the Ernst-Walz-brigde and follow Berliner Straße. At the second traffic lights you can see the Mathematikon at your left side.

For parking please continue until the next junction, where you turn left. After 200m there are several parking areas for visitors on the right.
