Isabel Gernand and Jakob Niessner participated in this year’s European Conference on Numerical Mathematics and Advanced Applications (ENUMATH). The conference was hosted by Heidelberg University from September 1st till September 5th, 2025 and brought together scientists from around the world in order to discuss novel advances in the fields of numerical mathematics and scientific applications.

Isabel Gernand gave a poster presentation on „Data-driven modelling and optimization for microsatellite-unstable tumors in colorectal cancer“, highlighting recent advances in the project Mathamatics in Oncology for the diagnosis of colorectal tumors.

Jakob Niessner presented a poster on a „Highly performant solver of the Poisson-Boltzmann equation during Brownian Dynamics simulations“, displaying the development of a geometric multigrid solver that allows for solving the Poisson-Boltzmann equation at every simulation time step.
