Functional Imaging and Modelling of the Heart (FIMH) 2017
On 11-13 June 2017, the 'Functional Imaging and Modelling of the Heart' FIMH 2017 took place in the Sunnybrook Research Institute in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
The FIMH 2017 was the 9th international conference on Functional Imaging and Modeling of the Heart. The biennial scientific event aims to integrate state of the art research and novel development efforts in the fields of cardiovascular imaging, image analysis, heart modelling and system integration.
The main goal is to encourage collaboration among clinicians, researchers and scientists working in signal and image processing, imaging, applied mathematics, biophysics, biomedical engineering, computer sciences, and experts in cardiology, radiology, biology and physiology.
The EMCL was represented by Dr. Nicolai Schoch, who presented his work “Towards Cognition-Guided Patient-Specific FEM-based Cardiac Surgery Simulation“, resulting from recent research development activities within the collaborative research center Cognition-Guided Surgery (SFB TRR 125).
