EMCL represented at the SIAM Conference on Uncertainty Quantification
MCL represented at the SIAM Conference on Uncertainty Quantification 2016 in Lausanne
The SIAM Conference on Uncertainty Quantification took place in Lausanne, Switzerland on 5th to 8th April 2016. The conference bring together mathematicians, statisticians, scientists, and engineers with an interest in development and implementation of uncertainty quantification methods. The applications of UQ in many fields were represented by many presentations and the EMCL was able to contribute with a Mini Symposium on "Uncertainty Quantification in an Industrial Context", which aims at bringing together experts for uncertainty quantification in industry, to be able to showcase real-world industrial applications and to propose ways out of some of the given problems.
The EMCL was represented by Peter Zaspel, "Towards Meshless Uncertainty Quantification in Medical Imaging on GPUs", and Chen Song, "Uncertainty Quantification for a Biomedical Blood Pump Application ", who presented their development activities in the field of medical engineering, as well as Philipp Glaser who presented his work " Uncertainty Quantification for An Industrial Application ", which showed the application of uncertainty quantification to an electric drive from series production.
